# score (/mcp/score)

Scores one record, as [`POST /v1/score`](/reference/score).

| Input | Description |
| ------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `model_id` | Required. From `create_score`, once its job is complete |
| `score_id` | Required. Your unique id for this record, such as the payment's id. Keep it to send the outcome to `calibrate` |
| `data` | Required. One record: a JSON object, or CSV text with a header and one row |
| `skip_schema_validation` | Optional. Score it even if its fields differ from the examples |
| `update_schema` | Optional. Make this record's fields the expected shape from now on |
| `api_key` | `/mcp/keys` only |

Returns `model_id`, `score_id`, `score` (0 to 1000: 250 is about a 25% chance of a bad outcome) and `request_id`.

**The record must match the schema of the data passed to `create_score`:** the same fields, names and types. A record that differs gets `schema_mismatch`, listing the differences. Fix the record, or set `skip_schema_validation` for a one-off, or `update_schema` for a lasting change. See [Schema](/concepts/scores#schema).
