get_quickstart_skill
Returns a skill that walks an agent through setting up Finic with its user, testing its accuracy on their data and going live. Call it first.
No arguments. On /mcp and /mcp/keys.
Returns a skill: the Markdown of a SKILL.md with frontmatter name: finic-quickstart. Agents should call it before anything else, follow it, and can save it as a skill for later. It covers:
- Access: signing in, or getting an API key, and setting up the account.
- Questions for the user:
- Do you want to be able to view your past requests, or turn on Zero Data Retention? (See Data retention.)
- Do you already have data to test Finic with? It needs a good or bad label for each record. The agent may reshape it into Finic's format, and cleans and standardizes it before sending.
- What do you want to test: the use case, what counts as good and bad, and what you're trying to detect?
- Preparing data in Finic's format (Example data).
- Testing accuracy on the user's data: hold out some labeled rows, create a score from the rest, score the held-out rows, and measure AUC, precision and recall at chosen thresholds, and calibration. For decisions, run
decidewith abase_rateon labeled cases and measure the same. - Going live: API keys, thresholds and calibrating with outcomes.
